Celebrating a Decade of INSPIRING MINDS, CREATING OPPORTUNITIES AND CHANGING LIVES: JP21FOUNDATION Marks 10-Year Anniversary

Founded in 2015, the JP21 FOUNDATION a leading organization dedicated to the development of
youth in vulnerable communities, is proud to announce its 10-year anniversary. Over the past
decade, the foundation has made significant strides in nurturing young learners, supporting
community initiatives, creating opportunities for learners to thrive, learn and dream.


Since its inception in 2015, JP21 FOUNDATION has been committed to the growth of cricket at all
levels. Through various programs and partnerships, the foundation has provided aspiring cricketers
with the resources and opportunities they need to succeed.


Milestones and Achievements

  • CRICKET DEVELOPMENT: Over the last ten years, through our afterschool program, we have
    provided access to over 1500 young learners each year
  • COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT: The foundation has organized numerous cricket clinics,
    capacity building workshops, tournaments, reaching thousands of children and promoting a
    healthy and active lifestyle.
  • INFRASTRUCTURE IMPROVEMENT: Significant investments have been made in upgrading
    local cricket facilities, school facilities by building 8 cricket pitches, installed a full-size cricket
    field, and built cricket nets in surrounding communities.
  • In addition, over R700000 was spent on providing cricket equipment and kit to participating
    schools on the cape flats.
  • PARTNERSHIPS AND COLLABORATIONS: JP21 Foundation has collaborated with schools, local
    governments, cricket bodies and private sector to create a comprehensive support system in
    the form of bursaries, life-skills support, mentorships, career days and much more.
  • In 2017, the JP21 FOUNDATION was recognised at the Western Cape Department of Social
    Development’s 2017 Ministerial Youth Excellence Awards by receiving a silver award.
  • JP21 FOUNDATION is a proud partner of the Laureus Sports for good foundation.
  • In 2023 alumni student, Meeka-eel Prince signed a professional contract with North West
    Dragons
  • We have equipped hundreds of teachers with basic training.

Anniversary Celebrations


To commemorate this milestone, JP21 FOUNDATION will be hosting a series of events, including:

  • Gala Dinner: A special gala dinner featuring prominent figures from the cricketing world,
    government officials, foundation ambassadors, alumni students and supporters.
    2 NOVEMBER, CENTURY CITY CONFERENCE CENTRE, (PLEASE SEE INVITE)
  • Early in the new year we will host our annual Golf Day
  • Fundraising event in the UK
  • Q&A Events

Looking Ahead

As we celebrate our 10-year anniversary, we remain dedicated to our mission of fostering
relationships, providing access, using cricket for development within vulnerable communities. We
look forward to expanding footprint and to fulfil our goal of owning our own cricket centre.
